We are so thankful for Pacific Gas and Electric Company as they recently delivered 150 STEM kits they created for our Club Members! This generosity provides kids with the tools they need to learn about STEM and ignite their passions. This is just one of many examples of how our corporate partners play a role in the lives of our Members by giving them access to things they may not otherwise have. We love working with organizations that champion our vision of building great futures! If you're interested in partnering with us, please email Hayley Bly at hbly@bgcsonoma-marin.org. #BGCSM #BGCA #PacificGasandElectric #CorporatePartners #PartnerWithUs #CommunityPartnerships #SonomaCounty #MarinCounty #WhateverItTakes #BuildGreatFutures #YouthEmpowerment ---- Jennifer Weiss, Michelle Edwards Heery, Andrea Coen, Paul-Louis ("P.L.") Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures
About us
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin has been serving youth for over 75 years, since 1946. Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which became the first Club in the County. Every day, our county’s future leaders come to the Clubs seeking hope & opportunity from caring adults. What happens next is hard to describe. Somewhere between hours of homework help, character building experiences, and positive relationships with other kids, lives are changed. Since 2008, we’ve grown from serving 300 young people to more than 10,000 Sonoma and Marin County children every year at 40 Clubs. Our growth is the outward demonstration of our commitment to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible adults. We hope you'll keep your eye on this growth and we invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of thousands of youth! Join our team and start a meaningful career in youth development! Hiring, developing, and retaining the highest quality staff possible is where it all begins. That’s because our work is anchored in our team's ability to bring our mission to life. We place a priority on professional development and support our employees through in-house training certifications; management training programs for current and future managers; annual retreats, and individual coaching/mentoring and job shadowing. Our team recently enjoyed a lovely time gathering at The Society: Healdsburg to share the future of the Healdsburg Clubhouse with a group of amazing women who are passionate about helping kids in our community! Thank you to Foley Food & Wine Society for hosting the event and providing the bubbles, and a BIG THANK YOU to the women who attended. This was a wonderful opportunity to share our vision for the new Healdsburg Clubhouse, a vital space designed to give kids the support they need to thrive. Together, we can work to make a significant impact on Healdsburg youth for generations to come. If you want to learn about the Healdsburg Campaign for Kids, take a tour of our existing Clubhouse, or support this initiative, reach out to Andrea Coen, Chief Philanthropy Officer, at acoen@bgcsonoma-marin.org. #BGCSM #BGCA #Healdsburg #HealdsburgCampaignForKids #OurKidsOurClubOurHealdsburg #AfterSchoolCare #AfterSchoolPrograms #WhateverItTakes #BuildGreatFutures #YouthEmpowerment #IHeartHealdsburg #HealdsburgLife #FoleyFamilyWines #FoleyFoodandWineSociety #TheSocietyHealdsburg #SonomaCounty ----- Jennifer Weiss, Michelle Edwards Heery, Andrea Coen, Paul-Louis ("P.L.") Meet Alexis! She recently celebrated her two year anniversary with us as a program coordinator! Alexis works to foster an environment where Members can express themselves freely. She also enjoys sharing her love for art with the kids and nurturing their talents. "The most rewarding thing about working at Boys & Girls Club is seeing kids come in quiet and reserved, but then finally opening up, showing their energy, telling me everything, and being themselves around me."
