In honor of Melanie Dressel, Columbia Bank’s late CEO and President, Metro Parks Tacoma last week unveiled the Melanie Jan LaPlant Dressel Park located along Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma, Washington. When Melanie helped found Columbia Bank, she instilled the values of community and encouraged the bank’s associates to live it and find ways to get involved in their local communities. Since her passing in 2017, Columbia Bank has honored her legacy and commitment to community through a bank-wide community service month during April known as Melanie Dressel Community Commitment Month.
