4Cs provides access to quality child care and early education in Sonoma County through advocacy, direct service and empowerment. Founded in 1972 by a group of child care advocates, the organization delivers essential services to community members, supporting working parents via multiple programs and envisions a thriving community where every child, family and employer has access to quality child care and early education.

Highlights include:

  • Child care referrals and resources for Sonoma County families at all income levels, provided via phone and online, connecting them to licensed child care providers.
  • Child care subsidies for income-eligible Sonoma County families, covering part or all of the cost of child care for qualifying parents. 
  • Child care meal reimbursements for providers who serve nutritious meals to children in their care. 
  • Operation of 12 preschools across Sonoma County, offering both full-day and part-day programs.
  • Employment of 225 local Sonoma County residents.
  • Education, information, and advocacy on child care issues impacting Sonoma County families and children.

Child care is an economic force in Sonoma County that creates jobs, generates significant local income, enables parents to work and local businesses to thrive. 4Cs plays an essential role in supporting local child care.
